Em Março passado, viajamos para o interior de Minas Gerais(foto), pois Si Gung completaria 50 anos de idade. Fomos juntos em meu carro, e tivemos a oportunidade de nos aproximarmos muito . Também dividimos o mesmo chalé e acredito que tenha ganhado um bom amigo.

Meses depois, Jones me presenteou com uma edição histórica da revista "ROLLING STONES" que celebrava os 40 anos da morte de Bruce Lee!
Porém , nos 25 anos da morte de Bruce, numa matéria do jornal "Folha de São Paulo", Si Gung Leo Imamura falou sobre o a influencia de Bruce nas artes marciais. E o jornalista alega que os dois foram colegas em Hong Kong(???) ... Não perca abaixo..rs

A matéria também falava na época sobre um projeto de fazer um filme de Bruce Lee em computação gráfica. "Vão reviver Bruce Lee" é o que dizia o jornal.
The article in the newspaper spoke generally about how Bruce Lee inspired people around the world. Not only ordinary people but also actors. And how he changed the history of Hollywood, taking martial arts to American cinema.
The article also spoke at the time about a project to make a film of Bruce Lee in CG. "We are going to revive Bruce Lee" is what the newspaper said.

A matéria com Si Gung, quando ainda era Presidente da Federação Paulista, dizia: " São Paulo é atualmente o centro de prática do Kung Fu em toda a América Latina, om cerca de cem academias, segundo o presidente da Federação Paulista , Leo Imamura.
"Graças a Bruce Lee, o Kung Fu tem atualmente grande número de praticantes" , diz Leo Imamura, que dá aulas de Ving Tsun em uma academia de São Paulo. O Ving Tsun foi o estilo de kung fu praticado por Lee. O professor de Ving Tsun Imamura foi colega de Bruce Lee em Hong Kong.
Segundo Imamura, que começou no esporte inspirado por Bruce Lee, os filmes do ator não são bons, mas , ainda assim, ele tem todos na videoteca de sua academia.
"Os filmes eram fracos, mas as cenas de luta foram copiadas posteriormente por todos os filmes de ação feitos em Hollywood", diz.
Imamura coleciona filmes, livros e revistas ligadas a Bruce Lee. Ele possui raridades, como fitas de video em que Lee aparece ensinando Kung Fu para alguns de seus ilustres alunos como Steve McQueen e James Coburn.
Além de admirá-lo como lutador, Imamura aprecia também a filosofia de Bruce Lee expressa em livros como "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do"

A capa da revista Rolling Stones(foto) é uma verdadeira homenagem a Bruce Lee. Cada matéria que esta edição traz estampada em sua capa, possui o equivalente em chinês. Na verdade fiquei muito empolgado com esta revista. Me fazia falta chegar numa banca e ver o Bruce Lee estampado numa capa de revista. Na verdade, sinto falta de revistas sobre artes marciais e das prateleiras das locadoras reservadas aos trocentos filmes de Kickboxers e Ninjas que foram lançados entre os anos 80 e 90....
Mas uma coisa é certa: Você precisa ter essa revista em sua coleção!
The cover of the Rolling Stones mag (photo) is a real tribute to Bruce Lee. Every article featured in that issue brings on its cover,the equivalent in Chinese. Actually I was very excited about this magazine. It made me miss when I was a teenager buying a Bruce Lee Magazine with him printed on the magazine cover. Actually, I miss martial arts magazines and shelves of video stores reserved for thousands of Kickboxers and Ninjas movies that were released between the 80's and 90's ....
But Ill say one thing for sure: You must have one issue of this magazine!

A revista parece que saiu da década de 70 ou 80. Quando a China ainda era um lugar exótico e propício para caras como Indiana Jones viverem grandes aventuras, pois a narrativa da chegada dos dois a FoShan(FatSan) é digna de turistas, ou exploradores da década de 30, e não de dois repórteres do século 21 com acesso a internet em qualquer lugar.
As informações sobre a formação de Bruce Lee e sua relação com Ip Man, parecem ter saído de alguma declaração de algum super mestre que estampou alguma capa da Inside Kung Fu na primeira metade dos anos 80, quando David Lee Roth ainda era vocalista do Van Halen!
No filme "O Grande Mestre"(2008), Donnie Yen interpreta Ip Man e luta contra 10 caratecas ao mesmo tempo. Se isso foi muito pra você na época, espere até ler que na verdade Ip Man venceu 22!! Consegue acreditar nesta informação? Imagine uma pessoa sozinha invadir um treino de futebol, e os 22 jogadores, titulares e reservas , partirem pra cima dele? É mais ou menos isso...
Apesar dessas informações que remontam a uma escrita de quase 30 anos atrás, quero dar os parabéns aos dois repórteres por me fazerem reviver meus bons tempos de comprar uma revista sobre Bruce Lee, e agradeço ao Si Sok Jones por me dar um presente que marcará época!
The magazine looks like it came out of the 70's or 80's . When China was still an exotic place for guys like Indiana Jones live great adventures , since the narrative about the arrival of the two in Foshan ( FatSan ) is worthy of tourists or explorers from the 30s , and not two reporters of the 21 century with access to the internet anywhere .
Information about the formation of Bruce Lee and his relationship with Ip Man , appear to cam out from any declaration of some super master who graced a cover of Inside Kung Fu in the first half of the 80s , when David Lee Roth was still frontman of Van Halen !
In the film " The Grand Master " (2008 ) , Donnie Yen plays Ip Man and fight against 10 karate guys . If that was too much for you then, wait until you actually read that Ip Man won 22 karate guys ! Can you believe in this information ? Imagine a person alone, invading a male soccer trainning, and the 22 players, go fight with him ? That's about it ...
While this information look like something from nearly 30 years ago , I want to congratulate the two reporters for making me relive my good times to buy a magazine about Bruce Lee , and thank Si Sok Jones by giving me this gift that will mark season!
