"CHUVA E BASTÃO: ITS RAINNING! MAN!" (RAIN AND POLE: ITS RAINNING! MAN!)

The photo above is exactly a picture of Chan Yu Ming  and his wife, Lai Miu Hin.

Chan Yu Ming already had his story told here on the Blog, but just to remember he was the son of Chan Wah Shun (Master of Ip Man) and became known as "The King of the Pole of the Seven Provinces " after the death of his father and Si Fu.

Another day, between a training and another, I was sitting right next to this guy above, my great friend, and Si Dai Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si"(12G VT), who is also a disciple of Master Julio Camacho.

I said how funny I thought that once all of Ving Tsun practitioners had become "kings" of something in the art. I will not talk about what Carlos said, but I remarked that between all the stories, Chan Yu Ming's story was the one I liked most. And what exactly Luk
Din Gwaan Bun  was the moment that I most wanted to access in the Ving Tsun.

Unfortunately in the weekend before my first session in Luk Din Bun Gwaan, I hurt my left knee, which hurts till day. That served me as an excuse to escape from training Luk Bun Din Gwaan since I accessed the Baat Jaam Do. Actually, it's easy to admit that my dreamed Luk Din Gwaan Bun  is not so much better after three years, to a Gwaan's beginner.

I had lunch with Si Fu in April 2008 during a holiday weekend. It was a Monday, and when we arrived at the Mo Gun  alone, he took the Gwaan and showed me the sequence. After a year of training  finally the time had come. And it's funny how we let go of our dreams so easily.

And from that conversation with Carlos, every Wednesday I go after my appointments to workout the  Luk Gwaan Bun Din. No one to look at, nobody to give hint. We're just me, my left knee and the pole, and I think I´m winning won this "Fear."

That's why last Saturday, I could not resist the train on parking space of Mo Gun with Si Sok Homero(11G VT) and Vladimir Anchieta(12G VT).

And I must say that after so much training alone, I'm still terrible, but at least one month less terrible than before, thanks an ordinary conversation with a friend.

Carlos (back in the foreground) doing Chi Sau with Felipe Evangelista 12G VT (disciple of Master Nathaniel Rosa 11G VT) while we were deep inside me and Homero Si Sok.

Suddenly began that fine rain, which on a weekday you would complain, but the Si Fu which was coordinating the activities laughed when we preferred to keep training in the rain.

As we see on the video above, for some reason , trainning in the rain works with our imagination. Even getting sick after that! hehe

For Brazilians, maybe was his fault in the 80/90's! hehe

That was a great Saturday in MYVT RIo de Janeiro! A very special day!
